Eco-Stores are eco-responsible floating microarchitectures. Thanks to their eco-design and their unique concept, they make it possible to revitalize local businesses after the confinement linked to covid-19. But also to recreate links and exchanges. More broadly, they raise awareness of new, more eco-friendly consumption patterns, recycling as well as plastic waste present in the Mediterranean. Through their principle of flotation they also anticipate the inevitable rise in water levels, and thus adopt a sustainable approach.
Their structure incorporates a floating waste recovery tank - the latter is visible from inside the structure thanks to a glass opening in the ground. This waste is transported into the reservoir thanks to sea currents and boat movements. They are then collected, sorted, and cleaned on dry land then transformed into reels of plastic tape. These reels are then used to manufacture the waterproof plastic weave walls which constitute the facades of the Eco-Stores, as well as the furniture which will be placed inside them.
The frame is made of reclaimed wood and recycled plastic. All production used to build an Eco-Store is responsible and sustainable. Eco-Stores are concept architectures welcoming brands focused on eco-responsibility. The concept is simple, a basic structure, to which is added a personalization catalog. From the catalog, brands can personalize their floating store in their image, according to their own identity: the type of weaving of the walls, their colors, choose the furniture and interior design, etc.
